Sermon 60, Job 15:23-29
This sermon is about the futility of fighting/resisting God. Similarly to yesterday’s sermon, Calvin asserts that rich and/or successful men who are wicked are, in fact, frightened by men and live with the constant belief that they don’t have enough. This is from verse 23 “He will step up quickly for bread”, meaning the wicked man acts with a belief that he never has enough.
The sermon also speaks to how God will punish the wicked.
