Sermon 81, Job 21:16-21
Calvin calls us “daily combatants”, which I like.
“Let us realize the emptiness of the things here below”
“…our responsibility is to be at peace and wait patiently until God shows us by experience that the outcome for the wicked will be cursed and that the afflictions of the good will be turned to their salvation.”
My responsibility is to be humble, wait quietly. Calvin agrees that the world is empty.
