Walking Through Uz with Calvin

Sermon 84, Job 22:9-11

“We do not need a peace which comes from nonchalance and stupidity. Why not? Because those who enjoy life that way in this world never have peace except by forgetting God, and that is an accursed peace. It would be better for us to be in difficulty and come to our God and seek the way to be reconciled to him than to be stupid that way.”

It seems that remembering God always involves choosing the difficult path.
