The Nature and Work of Angels (Heavenly Host)

Daniel 7:10: A river of fire flowed from God's throne, and thousands upon thousands of angels served God, with millions standing before him.

Psalm 34:7: The angel of the Lord camps around and protects those who honor God, and he saves them.

Psalm 91:11: God will give his angels orders about you to protect you and guard you in all your ways.

Matthew 18:10: The angels of children always see the face of God the Father in heaven.

Psalm 103:20: Praise the Lord, all you mighty angels who carry out his commands and obey his word.

Hebrews 1:14: Angels are spirits sent out to serve and help those who are going to receive salvation.

Genesis 28:12: Jacob dreamed of a ladder or stairway set up on the earth, reaching to heaven, with God’s angels going up and down on it.

John 1:51: Jesus told his disciples that they would see heaven opened, and the angels of God going up and down upon the Son of Man (Jesus).

The Deity and Headship of Christ (The Son)

Colossians 1:15: Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God, and he existed before anything was created.

Colossians 1:16: All things in heaven and on earth were created by him, and through him, and for him.

Hebrews 1:3: Jesus is the shining reflection of God's glory and the exact representation of God's nature, and he holds the whole universe together by his powerful word.

Hebrews 2:16: Jesus did not come to help or save the angels, but he came to help and save the people descended from Abraham (mankind).

The Reality of Satan and Demonic Forces

2 Peter 2:4: God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell and locked them up in chains of darkness for judgment.

1 Peter 5:8: Your enemy, the Devil, walks around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and devour.

Ephesians 2:2: Before we believed, we were ruled by the Devil, who is the ruler of the evil spirit working in those who disobey God.

Ephesians 6:12: Our fight is not against people, but against evil rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly realm.

2 Thessalonians 2:9: The coming of the lawless man will be by the power of Satan, involving all kinds of fake miracles, signs, and wonders.

Revelation 12:10: The accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses God's people before God day and night.

Zechariah 3:1: Satan stood at the right side of the Angel of the Lord to accuse Joshua the high priest.

Psalm 35:5, 6: May God’s enemies be like chaff that the wind blows away, with the angel of the Lord chasing them. May their path be dark and slippery as the angel of the Lord pursues them.

The Work of the Holy Spirit (Adoption and Security)

Romans 8:15: We did not receive a spirit that makes us slaves again to fear, but we received the Spirit of adoption, which causes us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”

Galatians 4:6: Because we are God’s children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who cries out, “Abba! Father!”

Romans 8:39: Nothing—neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation—will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God's Sovereign Rule and Word

Exodus 11:7: When God brings judgment, there will be a clear distinction: not a single dog will even bark at the people of Israel, to show the difference God makes between them and the Egyptians.

Ephesians 3:10: God's purpose was that through the Church, his extremely complex wisdom would now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

Matthew 6:10: A prayer: Let your kingdom come; let your will be done on earth just as it is in heaven.

Psalm 19:7, 8: The law of the Lord is perfect and restores the soul. The testimony of the Lord is trustworthy and gives wisdom to the simple.

Ephesians 4:19: Those who give themselves to sin have become hardened and without feeling, and they eagerly practice every kind of sexual immorality and greed.

Romans 8:10: If Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
