Ephesians 2:2: Before we believed, we followed the ways of the world and were ruled by the Devil, who is the ruler of the evil spirit working in those who disobey God.

Hebrews 2:14: Jesus became human so that by dying, He could destroy the Devil, who had the power of death.

Matthew 4:3: The Tempter (Satan) came to Jesus and challenged Him to prove He was the Son of God by turning stones into bread.

2 Corinthians 12:7: To keep Paul humble, God allowed a painful problem ("a thorn in the flesh") to torment him, which Paul calls a messenger sent by Satan.

The Sovereignty and Providence of God

Numbers 11:12: Moses asked God if he was the one who had to carry all the people, like a nurse carries a baby, showing that only God can truly sustain and carry His people.

2 Corinthians 12:8: Paul prayed three times to God to take away the painful problem, but God did not remove it.

The Person and Work of Christ

Isaiah 40:11: God (as the future Messiah) will gently care for His people like a shepherd: gathering the lambs in His arms and leading the nursing ewes gently.

John 1:18: No human being has ever seen God the Father; only Jesus Christ, who is God and is closest to the Father, has perfectly explained Him to us.
